Group Rules

OOC and Discord Rules

  • Media-Terra is a 16+ Group

​

  • No bigotry of any kind will be allowed.

​

  • Don't start drama with other members.

​

  • Don't vent in non-vent related channels.

​

  • Don't backtalk mods.

​

  • Report all misconduct to a mod, do not try to mod servers yourself.

​

  • If you see someone acting inappropriately, please @ one of the mods and they will handle it.
     

  • You are not your character:  We understand putting parts of yourselves in your characters, but it is still important not to identify too closely with them.
     

  • Discord name format: Please follow this format: YOUR NICKNAME | CHARACTER NAME |

    • This is so we can prevent confusion in terms of what to call you all.
       

Art Submission Rules

  • No art of sexually explicit activities between animal hybrid characters will be allowed.

​

  • You must have permission to use all art submitted. No stolen art is allowed.

    • You are allowed to submit commissions and art made with bases with permission.

​

Discord Art

​

  • NSFW art needs to be in an NSFW channel.

​

  • Gore art must be marked with a spoiler.

RP Rules

  • Submitted RPS must be in literature format, not script.

​

  • RPs of triggering topics are permitted but not within the server RP channels.

    • You are free to RP dark topics at will but in private messages only.

    • Gore is allowed in discord channels, but not other triggering topics.

​

  • If your RP is seen as too graphic for a public channel a mod will ask you to move it.

    • If you're unsure if an RP isn't appropriate, feel free to ask a mod. There is no penalty for being asked to move a roleplay. 

​

  • No god-modding.

​

  • You cannot kill another character in RP without the permission of the owner. More information in STATS and Influence Journal.

​

  • Plot-lines that include: Pedophilia, Rape, Incest, Homophobia/Transphobia MUST be reviewed by a mod before being approved for the group. We understand writing sensitive topics can be engaging but only when done appropriately and with sensitivity to the material. These topics will be handled with intense scrutiny.

    • Otherwise, plot-lines are free to be created between members.
       

  • If you intend a character to have any relationship with an existing character (romantic/platonic/familiar) make sure to contact the owner of that character beforehand.

    • This also goes for relationships that unexpectedly start forming within an active RP.

Penalty System

  • Strikes will be given on a case by case basis depending on the severity of the action. Breaking a rule once will probably not incur a strike, but repeated offenses after being spoken to will.
     

  • If you receive a strike you will be privately messaged.
     

  • After 3 strikes, you will be banned from the group.

OOC Activity Policy

What counts as activity?

​

  • Being in the discord, making art, role-playing all count towards activity. There are no specific requirements other than simply having been active at some point within the last two months.

​

  • After 2 months of no activity, your character will become dormant.

​

  • There is no penalty for going dormant and you are free to return whenever you'd like.

​

  • If you'd like to take a hiatus, feel free to. You can inform the mods and we can make your characters dormant until your return.

    • If you are going on a decided upon hiatus please also put a notice in the hiatus-request channel on the Discord Group, for the courtesy of your fellow rpers.
